Mankind was created male and female, in PERFECT HARMONY with both God and Creation.
We are a living SOUL, with the attributes of awareness.
We have a BODY, with the attributes to interact with this world.
We have a SPIRIT, with the attributes to interact with our Creator.
Our REPRESENTATIVES, Adam and Eve, actualized SIN into existence which cause the DEATH process to begin.
Sin separated us from God, because our spirit died immediately (past).
Sin caused our bodies to begin dying, which eventually will die (present).
Sin will cause our self (soul) to forever exist separated from both world and God (future).
Mankind was helpless and hopeless in this state of rebellion.
But God...
Revealed Himself to FALLEN MANKIND by abounding evidence in Creation.
But people... Worshiped nature and creatures instead.
God enabled MESSENGERS (called prophets) to communicated with humanity.
But people killed most of them.
God became flesh and dwelt amongst us.
But people mocked Him, spat on Him, tortured Him, and killed Him in the most agonizing way.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us... raised Christ from the dead and brings new life to those who call upon Him as their Lord and Savior. - Ephesians 2:4-5
Through the ATONING DEATH of Christ, men and women could be spiritually reborn which reconnects us to the "Lover of our souls".
Yet the world, flesh, and the father of lies (satan) along with his fallen angelic beings, war against our transformation back into our original state, the likeness and image of our Creator.
Our affections remain fixed upon this life, in this body, in this world... although thoughts occasionally flicker towards the "things of God".
This previous way of thinking causes a barrier to a new way of thinking. Like a frightened child trembles on the swimming pool edge, too afraid to leap into their parents outstretched arms... We too fear to make the leap of faith which God so lovingly calls us into.
"Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and He will provide for your needs." - Matthew 6:33
Our faith can begin, and the barrier pierced through, only by God's LOVE LETTER (Bible).
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12
These pages contain promises and examples of God's faithfulness, which serve to guide our transformation by the renewing our minds.
But the world, flesh, and enemy, tell us, "You are merely a body which has a spiritual component". If you forsake this life you will miss out on your happiness.
This dichotomy causes us to be "double minded", focused on this world while contemplating His Kingdom. We are constantly being tempted back into carnal complacency through fears, pleasures, and self-indulgence.
But for those who answer Jesus's call to follow His example...
To live by faith, to love sacrificially, and to deny self...
True JOY is experienced through loving others as He loved us.
Then, "the Spirit of God Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." - Romans 8:16
And, by FAITH, we know that once this body (shell) ceases to function, that God has for us new bodies, which will be like His glorious body (Philippians 3:21).
"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, and soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Thessalonians 5:23
